SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION

4.1 Storage / Transport

Store in a cool, clean, shaded dry place away from point sources of heat such as radiant heaters or steam pipes. Avoid contamination of opened product. Keep containers tightly closed. Protect from moisture. Avoid contact with combustible materials such as wooden pallets or cardboard. Avoid contact with incompatibles such as reducing agents, strong acids or alkalis, halides, heavy metals, oxidisable materials. Do not allow to come into contact with rust, metal ions or metal salts. Transport in accordance with the n Dangerous Goods Code. Not to be loaded with Class 1, 2.1, 2.3, 3, 4, 5.2, 6, 7, 8, 9 or substances other than dangerous goods capable of combustion. Use adequate ventilation. Wear respiratory protection if ventilation is inadequate or not available. Use eye and skin protection when contact is expected. Use clean plastic or stainless steel scoops only.

4.3 Spills and Disposal

Spills

Keep unnecessary personnel from the area of spill. Personnel involved in clean- up should wear personal protective equipment to prevent skin, eye and respiratory exposure. Do not return spilled contaminated material to containers with pure material. Do not mix with combustible materials such as sawdust.

Collect spilled material without generating dust. Recover material into an approved container. For large spills, dilute with a large quantity of water and dispose of material. For small spills, flush with plenty of water.

Disposal

Dispose of in accordance with all Local, State and Federal regulations at an approved waste disposal facility.

4.4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD

Fire / Explosion

May accelerate burning when involved in a fire; may decompose explosively when involved in a fire. Containers may explode when heated; may ignite combustibles. Avoid contact with incompatibles such as heavy metals, reducing agents and moisture, acids, alkalis, halides, oxidising materials. Product may decompose emitting oxides of sulphur, sulphuric acid, ammonia (ammonium salt), Na2O (sodium salt), K2O (potassium salt), ozone, oxygen. Store away from heat or ignition, combustible materials such as wooden pallets or cardboard.
